Sony’s NW-HD5 Network Walkman Digital Music Player is the latest generation of the NW-HD player that carrys on and improves upon the upgrades and improvements of the NW-HD3. Like its predecessor, the NW-HD5 supports MP3 and WMA audio files, as well as Sony's proprietary ATRAC compressed music file format.

The NW-HD5 weighs almost a full half-ounce less than the NW-HD3 and is about the size of a deck of cards. The HW-HD5 packs a 20GB hard drive for storing audio files and the removeable internal battery is good for 10 additional hours per charge over the NW-HD3, providing up to 40 hours of continuous playback. The unit can be charged over USB or with the included AC adapter.

Another new feature of the NW-HD5 is its display which can be viewed either in traditional portrait or landscape mode, depending on your preference.
