Building on the design and feature-set of of their popular e200 series, SanDisk presents new member of the Sansa family designed to compete with Apple's latest ipod digital media players. The Sansa View is a sleek, slim device designed for both audio and video.
Like the iPod touch, the Sansa View is available in both 8GB and 16GB capacities. Also like the touch, the View is entirely flash-based. Although the View lacks a touchscreen and Wi-Fi, it does have several features the touch lacks, including an FM tuner, support for WMA-based music subscription services, a voice recorder, and up to 35 hours of audio playback. The View also has the 3rd generation ipod nano beat in price; where the 8GB nano retails for $199, the same capacity View is $149; the 16GB version is $199. You can also increase the capacity of the View with microSD and microSDHC flash memory cards by up to 8GB.
